Mrs. V’s class visited shut-ins Cyril and Joy Roe.  Dr. Roy was Mrs. V’s teacher at Southern, and he was instrumental in her becoming a teacher. He told the kids what school was like in England when he was a boy, and he showed them replicas of transportation from England and other places. He discussed the meaning of pi, and they also got a short geography lesson on England with a view of his map of the world. Students made cards they had made with encouraging Bible verses and personal notes and read them to Dr. Roe. Nancy Wolcott helped with the arrangements and transportation.
